Sri Lanka is a stunningly beautiful country, inhabited, in our personal experience, by kind, thoughtful, generous and wonderful people. Imran, our driver/guide, is a shining example of those amazing characteristics. He was ready and waiting for us on our arrival at Colombo airport and delivered us exceptional service and, more importantly as our holiday progressed, friendship until the moment of our departure. His vehicle was and remained in immaculate condition throughout our trip and his driving skills are remarkable — essential in a country where the rules of the road are certainly open to interpretation! As an ambassador for his country he could not be improved upon. Certainly, he had exceptional knowledge of his country and a willingness to engage in dialogue about its colonial past and emergent present as a nation, but he offers so much more. Interpreter, negotiator, guardian angel, advocate and advisor were among the many roles he brilliantly filled, but he also became our friend and one we shall hope to retain contact with in the future. To say he put his whole self as well as his vehicle at our disposal for our 10 day holiday is not an exaggeration. I suspect that we might have enjoyed our holiday in this beautiful country almost regardless of the guide, but that enjoyment and our Sri Lankan experience has been immeasurably greater thanks to Imran. I'm in no doubt that we will remain in touch, and if a family member or friend wanted to go, I would start the process by calling him and seeking his advice. I cannot commend this young man more highly.

We came to Sri Lanka for our honeymoon and loved the experience. Our guide, Imran, is phenomenal. He showed us the entire island and organized a comprehensive itinerary for us to see as much as possible in the time we had. We definitely recommend contacting him if you come to the island.

Imran was a most helpful, flexible, punctual, engaged guide and driver. We felt cared for, our excursions all went off without any hitches, and his pride for his country, culture, food and people are infectious. We would highly recommend Imran for any travel across the entire island. We were focused on nature and outdoor activity and we found hikes, bike rides and bird watching opportunities across the beautiful country.
