We chose Ran to be our tour guide during our 14 day Sri Lankan holiday on the recommendation of friends who have done many tours with him. Ran is an exceptional guide in many ways. His knowledge of his country's history and culture is extensive and he shares it with enthusiasm. If you care to know more about the Sri Lankan people and their current situation, he also generously answered all sorts of questions we had. Ran taught us some useful Sri Lankan words and greetings and we loved having a few basics to acknowledge local people in their language. The advantage of having the same driver for our entire trip was that it gave us confidence and the ability to really relax and thoroughly enjoy our time in Sri Lanka. Ran was able to help us with the little things and gave us tips along the way to make everything more enjoyable. He took us to some fabulous roadside restaurants which had incredible food, which we probably wouldn't have known about without his help. We did a fairly extensive trip and Ran was very aware that it was our holiday and was keen to tailor-make it so it met our wishes. His motto is 'your tour, your choice' and he certainly followed through with this. My cricket-mad husband even got to watch a session of international cricket in Galle, which was spontaneous and a lot of fun. Ran's van is very comfortable with great air conditioning, a must, and he makes sure his vehicle has good, safe tyres. He offers free WiFi while in the van. He's also a very safe driver, which is a must, as the driving in Sri Lanka is a little crazy. We organised most of our accommodation before we arrived, being a little unsure of what would be best, but next time we would ask Ran to help with that as it's also a service he can provide. Ran is able to help you book directly with hotels and this can save you some money and also means the hotels don't have to pay a third party. By the end of our 14 days Ran wasn't only our driver but had become a friend. We highly recommend Ran for your Sri Lankan adventure.

Ran met us at our hotel; he was prompt and very professional. We had an excellent tour covering Kandy and a cultural display, and a tea plantation with a fabulous stop for the waterfalls. He then arranged our train tickets, which was a great experience. We stayed over in a small mountain hotel before going again the next morning to another waterfall and the elephant safari, which was amazing. We stayed in that area in a fabulous small hotel. The last full day we did Yala safari at our request, which isn't as good as it's very busy. He highlighted many other points of interest along the way. Ran then drove us to our next hotel to end the tour. We would highly recommend Ran — he's a true gentleman, very considerate of his guests and looks after you very well. He is very knowledgeable on his tours and we would definitely use him again next time we are in Sri Lanka.

Ranjith is extremely knowledgeable and planned a trip to meet our expectations covering culture, heritage and nature. Before arrival, he communicated with us providing all the necessary information. He is well organised and punctual. Ranjith's vehicle is very clean and comfortable. He is a very safe driver. He has an excellent knowledge of road conditions and routes, and knows where to get the best view, be it a temple or nature. He is not just a driver or chauffeur but a national guide too, so he accompanied us to all sites and provided the necessary information. During our 14 day tour, he did not take us to any shops or try to sell us anything. We felt that we were in safe hands. We highly recommend him as your planner, organiser, chauffeur and guide.

We travelled around Sri Lanka with Ran in his impeccable 4x4. The vehicle, with air conditioning, is very spacious and comfortable; he keeps it very clean and drives very prudently. He knows his country very well. Before arriving in Sri Lanka we had already communicated with Ran by email to tell him what our route plan was and which accommodation we had reserved. But he can organise the entire trip very well, hotel reservations included, within the budget that is set for him and cheaper than any agency. He told us many interesting stories and anecdotes and managed to take us to special places, difficult to find in tourist guides. There are many things that a tourist can't get, such as tickets for the scenic train from Kandy to Ella, impossible to obtain without Ran's invaluable help. He is also a guide who does not take you to stores for you to buy so that he earns a commission. He is a very ethical person in this regard. I recommend any traveller wishing to visit the beautiful island of Sri Lanka to contact Ran. He does not speak Spanish; we communicated with him in English.

My husband and I visited Sri Lanka for our honeymoon and booked Ran for 10 days. Ran was amazing and over-delivered in every aspect. He was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, friendly, and a safe driver. His van was super spacious and comfortable and he also had wifi, which was helpful! Ran was so organised that we had no issues with fuel, or finding accommodation or good authentic Sri Lankan food to eat. We were worried at first but we had no issues because of Ran!! We drove all around the island to Sigiriya, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Udawalawe, and several beaches along the southern province before going to Galle. Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide, friend and trip. Sri Lanka is the most beautiful country!!

When we came to the idea of coming to Sri Lanka, I first searched for a car to rent. But then I shortly realised I should book a tour with a guide-driver. Ran had the best reviews and that was an excellent choice. He deserved the rating. Ran quickly answered my questions, was flexible and we aligned on a tour as per my plan. Ran advised on timings and offered to book reasonable accommodation too. The offer was also the best one! He is a good and safe driver, stops when you want and gives you as much time as you need. He never offered or insisted on any touristic shops or restaurants. Ran is very cultured, gives you good orientation and guided us in the places we visited. You do not need to worry about booking tickets or hiring additional local guides. The car was very comfortable with more than enough space for the four of us and our luggage. Ran also managed the fuel well, so we were not impacted at all by the economic crisis.
