My family and I travelled for 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. I found him through reviews, and it was all perfect — a wonderful time, many local experiences, and he did not take us to touristy places. Amazing explanations of archaeology, history, religion, temples, nature, wildlife and general things about Sri Lanka. He organised some small, nice and clean hotels for us which were very good, in nice locations and with excellent food. He guided us at all the sites we visited including the national park trips. Luxury transport by his micro van, and a safe driver. Because of his suggestions we were able to save some money. Ran speaks very good English, is a genuine man, and charges a reasonable price. Highly recommend his service for any traveller. Overall a lovely time and an unforgettable experience.

Our family of four have just finished a two week tour of Sri Lanka with our driver Ran, who made our holiday thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing. Ran is very friendly, easy going and flexible and has excellent English. He is tremendously knowledgeable about the history, culture and ecology of Sri Lanka. We were returning to Sri Lanka after 30 years and wanted to visit areas we knew and had worked in, and to give our children a flavour of real Sri Lankan life, food, culture and history. Ran showed complete sensitivity to this, and with his flexibility and expert knowledge of his country, found and took us to places off the standard tour route, making our holiday the very experience we hoped to have. We travelled from Negombo to Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kandy, Ella, Tissamaharama and then west along the coast in Ran's very comfortable and clean Toyota van, and always felt very safe and the pace was unhurried. Although we had planned some of our route and accommodation, Ran helped us plan the remainder en route, suggesting some excellent places to stay. Ran knows many local and non-tourist places to eat, and he always provided good advice on what to pay and on local customs. As well as taking us to places of particular interest in architecture, landscape and food, he also organised a brilliant evening visit to the Kataragama Perahera, skipping the queues at no extra cost. Some days we spent without travelling and Ran was always extremely punctual picking us up and instantly responsive to calls and texts. We would thoroughly recommend Ran if you are planning a tour of Sri Lanka. He may not be the cheapest driver but he must be one of the best!

We have been travelling continuously for many years, in over 60 countries. We have taken road trips in many of them, and so we decided to do the same in Sri Lanka. We usually travel on a budget, sometimes tight. This time we decided to go with Ranjith, even though he was not the cheapest proposal, due to his communication and feedback. We could not have been happier, and we think it may even have saved us money. Every night he helped us find cheap accommodation that fit our budget and bargained extensively at times. Not only accommodation but anywhere we went: local restaurants, shops, and so on. Ranjith was a very good, slow and safe driver, very careful and with a nice car, always clean, with good air conditioning. He was always on time in the morning, and very flexible with our schedule. We work online until late at night and usually start our days late. He speaks very good English, and had many interesting facts to share about Sri Lanka. During our stay, unfortunately Sri Lanka suffered terrorist bombing attacks. Ranjith was always on top of things, careful and with updated information, very helpful and responsible. We were very calm about everything and it did not affect our trip. We recommend him to anyone wanting to visit.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children from Australia travelled Sri Lanka for eight days. Our route was Negombo, Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Hikkaduwa and Colombo. Ranjith Alwis was our driver and guide. He has over 25 years of experience as a tour guide and he also deservedly won a major Sri Lankan tourism award in 2018. We would recommend Ran very highly as a driver and guide. His knowledge of Sri Lanka was fantastic. With his extensive experience as a guide he gave us a thorough insight into Sri Lanka. For example, when we wanted to climb Lion Rock he suggested the perfect time to reduce the effects of the extreme heat. Do not underestimate the importance of a safe driver in Sri Lanka. We never felt in danger once with Ran. He was not only punctual every day but was also able to estimate extremely accurately the time of arrival at each destination. Ran was extremely flexible and did not pressure us in any way. His motto, 'your tour your choice', is so true!

Ran was our driver and guide for 10 days while we visited the beautiful country of Sri Lanka. He communicated excellently with us prior to the holiday and during it, was on time, reliable and honest throughout the trip. He's a very lovely, gentle man with a very good sense of humour and made our trip an unforgettable experience. He is incredibly knowledgeable about his country and very proud to take us round and guide us, showing us places we may never have discovered without him. We thoroughly recommend Ran as a driver and guide and would have no hesitation in recommending him to friends and family. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

We came to Sri Lanka and Ran was waiting for us at the airport. Our tour was a mix of nature, culture and beach. Ran guided and helped us really well during our tour. We also had a lot of fun with him! He showed us good places to eat local food. We had a wonderful time in his nice vehicle!
